Chris offers clients over 30 years’ extensive aviation experience as a professional manager, technician and engineering instructor. He is a confident and enthusiastic facilitator and training consultant, specialising in aviation Human Factors and Error Management.

Chris is passionate about developing effective safety cultures vital to the operation of effective safety management systems.

Been within the military training environment for over 12 years, working within DSAE Cosford and RAF Brize Norton for the establishment of the C17 Training School in line with DSAT requirements.

  • Delivers safety culture change programmes, consulting and training in human factors, error management and effective event investigation, to evolve open culture environments that support effective error management and safety programmes for UK military aviation personnel.
  • Offers delivery expertise in Initial and Continuation training courses to Military and Civil audiences with ability to adapt to audiences and challenge behavioural patterns.
  • Provides specialist training facilitation skills and knowledge for positive training outcomes.

Career background and experience

 
Chris has extensive experience as a technician, supervisor, instructor and manager. He offers fixed wing engineering experience and Human Factors and Error Management experience. He has enjoyed a varied career in aviation, working with military, civil and multinational personnel.
Prior to joining Baines Simmons in 2013, Chris worked for the Royal Air Force as an engineer and progressed into a Human Factors Training role while working within Saudi Arabia for BAE System KSA. He was responsible for developing and delivering training courses to military and multinational engineering and civilian delegates working within Saudi Arabia. Prior to this Chris was involved in the Apprentice Training Programme for Alsalam Aircraft Company for work on the RSAF Tornado aircraft. He has also been involved in the Major update work carried out on the Tornado aircraft fleet within Saudi Arabia.

  • He has a Certificate in Education, HNC in Mechanical and Production Engineering.
